Mission statement

Our aim is to honour and represent the unsung heroism of the US Paratroop Pathfinders in WW2. Their discrete mission was to parachute into enemy territory to find landing grounds, secure them from the enemy and guide in by covert or overt signals the main paratroop force of several thousand men – all inside 40 minutes.

Display and presentation focus
We do both static and walking displays of the combat uniforms, equipment and weaponry of the 101st Airborne Pathfinders primarily for the Allies’ invasion of France in 1944. Static presentations are for the public at open-air shows but also for museums, like the National D-Day Museum in Portsmouth, England. Demonstrations involve the use of the Pathfinders’ top secret radar-guidance equipment and its specialised deployment in enemy held terrain.

Battle re-enactment & tactical training
We also re-enact battles and tactics of the US Airborne at private events with other groups. Besides having a serious edge – in teaching us a little of what a Paratrooper could have gone through, these can be a lot of fun.

Headquaters and recruitment
Our HQ is based in Southern-England, but we welcome recruits from anywhere in the UK. We still have places on the team to fill. See the Unit Structure page for how the unit is composed.
